Level 3 Qualification in delivering Conflict Management (1886).

The SIA has specified Conflict Management training and assessment as a requirement for licensing for all security operatives who interface with the general public.
Trainers who deliver Conflict Management training for the qualifications for Licensing will be required to hold a SIA endorsed and CA accredited qualification in the delivery of scenario based Conflict Management.
There are two units for this qualification:
- Knowledge, Understanding, and Application of the Principles of Conflict Management
- Designing and Delivering Conflict Management Scenario's.
Unit One.
The aim of this unit is to provide an understanding of how to deal effectively with workplace violence. The learning outcomes are:
- Assess and reduce the risk of violence in the work environment.
- Identify behaviour that indicates an escalation towards violence and take appropriate measures to avoid or calm and defuse the situation.
- Identify post incident support and report the circumstances to provide information for personal and organisational learning.
Demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Conflict Management into a variety of practical workplace settings.
Unit Two.
The aim of the unit is to provide basic competence to deliver scenario based Conflict Management Training. The learning outcomes are:
- Design relevant and effective scenarios for training in Conflict Management.
- Deliver and debrief interactive and scenario based sessions in the context of Conflict Management training.
To achieve the City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate for the delivers in Conflict Management training candidates will need to complete units one and two.
